Uelliam began his footballing career in his native Brazil with the youth academy of Brasília FC in late 1997. He developed well, and was promoted to their main squad in mid-1999. With the club, he went on to play in the Copa João Havelange in 2000. In the summer of 2001, he transferred to Brasiliense FC, where he would be a proficient goalscorer. In mid-2003, he was bought by SE Palmeiras. He played well there, but he suffered several injuries during the next two years and did not get many chances to play.
In mid-2005, Uelliam was sold to FC Liedho in the Southern Arc Islands. At FC Liedho, his performances quickly improved, and he once again became a proficient goalscorer, helping FC Liedho to achieve second place in the First Division of the Southern Arc Islands Football League in 2006 and 2007. In early 2008, Uelliam was bought by Arc City Central FC. In the next few years, Uelliam became one of the most important players in the league, but was never called up to the Brazil national football team.
In 2010, Uelliam became eligible to play for the Southern Arc Islands national football team under the FIFA eligibility rules. He received his first call-up late that year, and he quickly became an important player and a proficient goalscorer for the national team, despite his age. For the next two years, Uelliam continued to play for Arc City Central FC and the Southern Arc Islands national football team, and continued to perform well. After the 2012 Worldwide Cup, Uelliam announced his retirement from international football, ending his brief (just two years) but productive international career.
In the 2012-13 break, Uelliam was transferred to Mersey United. He remained there until the end of the 2014 season, when he retired from playing footballing altogether, at the age of 35. For the 2015 season, Uelliam was appointed as an assistant manager for his former club FC Liedho. In mid-2015, when manager Yevgeni Andarev became the manager of the Lovia national football team, Uelliam was promoted to manager.
